Event ticketing fees in Nigeria, explained plainly

Most ticketing platforms quote a small percentage and then collect it three different ways. We would rather show the arithmetic. There is no monthly subscription, no listing fee, no charge for creating an event and 0% commission taken out of the ticket price you set.

For paid events there is one line item: a 6% + ₦100 booking fee. On our standard setup that fee is paid by your guests at checkout, so you keep 100% of the ticket price you set. Free events cost ₦0 — no fee at all.

Who pays the fee

When you create an event you choose the fee bearer. Pass it to the buyer, which is the default, and the 6% + ₦100 is added at checkout, so a ticket you priced at ₦10,000 pays out ₦10,000 to you. Absorb it yourself and the buyer sees a round number while the fee comes out of your side.

Whichever you pick, it is shown clearly at checkout before payment. Attendees never meet a surprise line item on the payment page.

Getting paid

Request a payout from your dashboard and it is processed to your Nigerian bank account, typically within 24 hours. There is no minimum payout threshold designed to keep your money sitting with us, and you can request payouts while the event is still selling rather than waiting until it is over.

What is included at no extra cost

The features other platforms tier up are simply part of the product here.

  • Unlimited events and unlimited ticket tiers
  • Discount codes, referral links and affiliate tracking
  • Door check-in scanning and staff accounts
  • Attendee data, exports and email campaigns to your buyers
  • Abandoned checkout recovery and sold-out waitlists
  • A public event page with your own flyer as the share preview

Selling outside Nigeria

Events in Ghana, Kenya, South Africa and the United Kingdom can be priced and sold in the local currency of that market. The currency locks to the event once the first ticket sells, so nobody's receipt changes underneath them.
